as what you said, you transplanted them on 25th and thus only a week then they died. i cannot find any serious mistakes from what you said, however i may guess the problem is the process you transplant them, such as distrubed the roots when transplanting, or not suitable soil you used, or too much / too strong fertilizer with new soil. some other possible reasons are may be not appropriate watering method (even in a 2 days basis) such as using a sprinkler to spray on top layer soil only or only a limited water amount of every watering, or too often to water when the plant is sitted in an indoor environment with low liquid evaporation. ... in general, basils like warm weather which should be 13C or above. otherwise brown spots could appear, especially under stong cold wind. and fernleaf lavender likes a lot sun with drier soil means should water it less than basils.

i wish it wont hurt you much, and wish to talk to you more in deepth about planting when the next time you come to our garden.
