We Can Solve It Thanks Brian. I think you're right on one point: The campaign -- along with so many people who believe in doing something about this important issue -- is doing a lot to educate people in the US and around the world that the climate crisis is both urgent and solvable. But we're not there yet. If it's OK with you, we'......ll keep it up until this serious problem is solved.

Our friend and member Arielle Gillman wrote, directed and edited this video as part of her winning entry in the California Climate Champions program this year. (She was one of fifteen talented winners.)
We feel it's a great model of both local programs to promote youth activism on climate change, and one person's passio......nate effort to make something happen.
The California program is actually part of the International Climate Champions program, created by the British Council. If you'd like to know more about the CA program or it's international parent, check out the links below. (And if you need any help getting in touch with them to see how you can participate or perhaps start your own local program, please poke us and we'll be happy to help.)

Sorry for the late notice, but for those of you in the DC area, there are apparently some tickets left for the climate rally at George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium TONIGHT at 7:00pm. Dr. James E. Hansen and other notables are scheduled to speak.
Find more info here:

We Can Solve It I hope everyone clicks on the link provided by Arielle below. The site offers three options to choose from, one of which jumps out as the hardest hitting and most comprehensive of the three -- at least to me. Once you've voted you'll see the percentages of the current vote breakdown, and it's cool to see the clear ma......jority forming behind that forceful option!

To add to Roger's useful information below, here's a release from NASA's Earth Observatory Site, regarding the proven value of computer modeling in predicting future climate change:

MODELS LOOK GOOD WHEN PREDICTING CLIMATE CHANGE
The accuracy of...... computer models that predict climate change over the coming decades has been the subject of debate among politicians, environmentalists, and even scientists. A new study by meteorologists at the University of Utah shows that current climate models are quite accurate and can be valuable tools for those seeking solutions on reversing global warming trends. Most of these models project a global warming trend that amounts to about 7 degrees Fahrenheit over the next 100 years.
