Every year we want to honor one special and inspiring American woman dedicated to creating healthier and happier environments for children ......and families. This year, Healthy Child received 128 submissions from across the country in response to our 2009 Mom on a Mission search. We received many compelling stories about dynamic women working to make their communities healthier and safer for their children. But when we received this submission from John Rodriguez about his wife, Shelby, we knew we'd found our winner.
